Day- and shiftworkers' leisure time
Article Abstract:
The day- and shiftworkers' of two Brazilian petrochemical plants are studied for the way their leisure time are spent. Results show that shiftworkers and dayworkers have significant differences on almost all frequencies of the 14 most commonly mentioned leisure activities. Moreover, the two most mentioned activities are meals with the family and home television viewing. However, the results of the data analyses are not sufficient to conclude anything.

Gender, ageing, and shiftwork intolerance
Article Abstract:
The occurrence of shiftwork intolerance symptoms are investigated with respect to gender and age. Results show that men sleep more than women for all work shifts, however women experienced more from drowsiness during work. Moreover, the tendency of subjective health to deteriorate with advancing age is observed in both sexes until 40 to 50 years. In general, womensuffer more than men from symptoms of shiftwork intolerance.
