Defense industry seen losing design capability
Article Abstract:
The defense industry is losing its capacity to design weapons for defense of the US and its allies and there is not much work going on to spur growth in this area. Lawmakers are planning to cut the purchases of the F/A-22 Raptor supersonic stealth fighter-attack plane and the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), but there is little talk of what aircraft might succeed the Raptor and JSF.
