The Senate confirmed Francis Harvey to be the next secretary of the Army, but Democrats questioned whether the corporate chief would be the leader the service needs as it confronts serious challenges in Iraq and elsewhere. Senator, John Warner, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, praised Harvey's extraordinary career as a business executive, particularly leading large technology corporations.

Army general praises Osprey variant for SOF operations
Article Abstract:
The CV-22 variant of the V-22 Osprey has come in for high praise by General Bryan Brown of the Army Special Operations Forces (SOF) who believes the aircraft is a great leap forward in technology. The CV-22 is expected to replace the MH-53 helicopters.
