Schwartz: Size of any 777 tanker might be concern
Article Abstract:
The Air Force General Norton Schwartz, commander of the US Transportation Command, has stated that there would be concerns if the Boeing Company offers an aerial refueling tanker plane based on its larger 777 airliner instead of the expected KC-767 tanker based on smaller commercial jet plane. Schwartz wishes that any tanker plane should be a multi-mission asset, capable of refueling other aircraft and also capable of hauling cargo or transporting troops.

Why $71.8 billion F/A-22 raptor aircraft isn't needed: Analyst
Article Abstract:
The F/A-22 Raptor fighter aircraft is in many ways an awesome plane, but it presently isn't needed to meet any present or future threat. The fact that few U.S. fighter aircrafts have been lost in the combat, and the broader issue of the immense system of systems supporting American fighter aircraft all show that the $71.8 billion Raptor is not required to meet any current or near-future enemy threats.
