Dominguez says Raptor, tanker lack can harm AF capabilities
Article Abstract:
Michael Dominguez, the acting Secretary of the Air Force, believes that the F/A-22 Raptor fighter plane and the aerial refueling tanker aircraft are crucial to continue the US ability to remain the sole global superpower. However, according to critics, the Raptor was conceived to counter a fighter that the Soviet Union designed but never built and the Raptor is now unneeded and expensive.

Study: CVN 21 cost may near $13 billion; funding questions loom
Article Abstract:
The next-generation aircraft carrier CVN21's cost might be more than $12 billion and perhaps roughly $13 billion, rather than the $11.7 billion official Navy estimate. The total price tag figures may cover both developing the first-in-its-class ship and then building it.
