EADS, Northrop Grumman call themselves good fit on PRV

Representatives from European Aeronautic Defense and Space Co. (EADS) and Northrop Grumman Corp. expressed confidence in the ability of their companies' teamed effort to succeed in the competition to build a new personal recovery vehicle (PRV) for the Air Force. Company representative stated that the EADS platform would be based on the NH 90 helicopters, and Northrop Grumman's expertise in systems integration would give the two companies to bid for $9 billion program.

Northrop Grumman defends Global Hawk cost

Northrop Grumman, defends its Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicle stating that the fact of the Global Hawk evolving over the course of its production is a strength of the program, rather than a sign of Pentagon misdirection. The Government Accountability Office (GAO), in its report and congressional testimony has raised an issue about Global Hawk having undergone multiple changes in the midst of the production process resulting into negative effects for the program.

Northrop Grumman advances counter-MANPADS prototype

Northrop Grumman Corporation completed the process of winning a series of approvals from the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for a prototype of system that could protect commercial airliners from the terrorist-friendly class of weapons known as manportable air defense systems (MANPADS). The development of the prototype represents a milestone in the company's efforts to adapt its military aircraft defense system, called Nemesis, for commercial aircraft.
