Electricite de France offers record ESOP
Article Abstract:
The attractive terms of employee stock ownership forming part of Electricite de France's (EDF) $8.5 billion initial public offering (IPO) in November, 2005 is discussed. Employees were against partial privatization of the electric utility, which prompted EDF to come up with such a measure. EDF sold 15% stake in IPO.

Corporations are looking for ways to minimize borrowings and to conserve cash due to the rising market interest rates. It is suggested that improving the dispute-management and tracking system can improve cash flow because customers are willing and able to pay their bills on time.
