Training in ergonomics at VDU workplaces
Article Abstract:
Training of visual display unit (VDU) users in issues relating to ergonomics can have a positive impact on ergonomics in the workplace. This impact is seen most clearly in the office environment, as VDUs and related peripherals are only one element of the working equipment in laboratories and production facilities. Training boosts employees' interest in ergonomics, and is relatively inexpensive. There is also a wider impact on employees not directly involved in the training.
