Sessions: Hill likely supports repair supplementals, new ships
Article Abstract:
Senator Jeff Sessions (Republican, Alaska) believes that there are good chances for lawmakers supporting a Pentagon desire for supplemental appropriations even after the wars end, so as to reset and refurbish all of the gear being worn out in combat. He also expects Capitol Hill to support Navy plans for shipbuilding and Congress to approve the Navy request for seven new ships in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2007.
