Osprey faulted on payload, rescue, range issues
Article Abstract:
A long-time critic of the hybrid aircraft alleged in a report in 2006 that the V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft is flawed in multiple ways that would hamper its use as planned by the Marine Corps and Air Force. Ospreys are produced by the Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office, a venture of Bell Helicopter Textron and The Boeing Co., in a $50 billion multi-year program.
