From public to private
Article Abstract:
Larger companies can attract the attention of major investors more easily than smaller firms, and British fund managers tend to focus on the FTSE 100 index. Many companies are leaving the stock market, and this can benefit investors who select such companies beforehand. Companies delisting can offer good returns. A profit warning from a company that is in an unpopular sector can lead to a low stock price after the problems have been solved. Investors need to be able to take a long term view if they invest in these companies.
