GAO urges slowdown in Global Hawk buys; DOD refuses
Article Abstract:
The Government Accountability Office (GAO) has urged the Department of Defense (DOD) to delay the production of RQ-4B Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicles (UVA) as the Global Hawk program entails unacceptable development risk and a steep multimillion dollar cost growth. The DOD has rejected the negative GAO view as there is no untenable risk in developing and producing the Global Hawk and slowdown in the program will increase the program cost.
