Lockheed leader sees opportunities in global business

The US defense products are having great demand from Pakistan to Greece and from Japan to South Korea so the largest defense contractor, Lockheed Martin Corp. is facing promising opportunities in global defense work. Rob Weiss, Lockheed Martins, vice-president-business development, believes that there is a demand around the world for US military wares and Lockheed still has a 'leading-edge in technology' expertise unrivaled in other nations.

Taiwan lures U.S. defense contractors to offshore sites

Taiwan is inviting international defense contractors to set up manufacturing units in the island nation due to the increasing threat of military invasion from China. Taiwan officials underlined the advantages of having science parks and labor force equipped with expertise in designing and producing components in Taiwan, which are required by defense contractors, at a forum organized by Heritage Foundation.
