Grantchester: warehousing on a roll

Grantchester is carrying out a share issue to raise 65 million pounds sterling. Burford will diminish its holding in Grantchester to 15% from 24%. Grantchester is increasing its warehouse portfolio by over 100%, taking advantage of demand for locations outside towns. The company is buying seven warehouses for 73.3 million pounds sterling from J Sainsbury. Grantchester has blue-chip tenants which usually have a 25-year contract with rent renewals every five years.
