Bargain Books sells books which did not sell at list price, reprints and stock best sellers. Former Holmes McDougall Marketing Exec David Flatman established the bookshop in 1982. The company holds offices in Granton, North Edinburgh, Scotland where it operates 15 shops. It also has five franchise stores in Northern Ireland and engages in wholesale trade. Bargain Books has brightly dressed staff as part of its marketing strategy to attract all types of customers. The company forecasts earnings of 10 million pounds sterling and a growth rate of 25% for 1992.

Article Abstract:
Persuasion is an important tool in management, but effective persuasion can often depend on the personality of the person who is the focus of persuasion because not everyone responds in the same way to arguments and various tactics can be used depending on the persuasion situation. Different persuasion tactics that can be used include: bargaining; sociability; and assertiveness.
