Spleen necrosis virus-derived C-type retroviral vectors for gene transfer to quiescent cells
Article Abstract:
Researchers from the U.S and Germany demonstrated the ability of C-type retroviral vectors derived from spleen necrosis virus to infect nondividing cells. This vector characteristic has the potential for use as target in gene therapy.

Cytokine production in motor neurons by poliovirus replicon vector gene delivery
Article Abstract:
Foreign proteins are selectively and transiently expressed by poliovirus replicon in motor neurons of the anterior horn of the spinal cord.Mice were inoculated intraspinally with the poliovirus receptor (PVR) with replicons encoding murine tumor becrosis factor alpha (mTNF-alpha)
