The bioscientists of the European Federation of Biotechnology (EFB, Spain) opposed the unscientific decision of the European Commission for the Environment on the use of genetically modified (GM) organisms (GMOs). The misconception about the environmental hazards of GMO release and the reports about the GM products likely to have any adverse influence on human and animal health or the environment are argued.
