Intracellular trehalose improves the survival of cryopreserved mammalian cells
Article Abstract:
Research focusing on how low concentrations of intracellular trehalose can vastly improve the survival of mammalian cells during cryopreservation. The results indicate that simplified and widely applicable freezing protocols might be possible using sugars as cryoprotective additives.
