Is Macintosh Your Apple?
Article Abstract:
For a while the personal computer (PC) market was dominated by the Apple IIe, then IBM introduced its own PC and this giant took over the market. But now Apple is back with the Macintosh (Mac) and many who analyze the whole PC industry see Mac as establishing a new generation of PC's and also presenting a major challenge to IBM. The Mac does have some drawbacks. It does not print in color, or accept any other software than its own. It also has major advantages over every other PC on the market. It is smaller, and much more advanced than even the IBM, and all major software is being adapted to it. For the small business, self employed, or upper income the Mac can perform a wide range of functions amazingly well, especially since Apple insisted that all software conform to a prescribed standard when being written. Some of the many programs available on the Mac which demonstrate the true versatility of this new machine are described.

The Great Package Delivery Race
Article Abstract:
Getting a package from one place to another is no problem these days, it can usually be done by several different companies. The problem comes in when trying to evaluate which company will do the job the most efficiently for the least amount of money. 'Money' magazine has evaluated seven of the top air courier services so that occasional users can evaluate who will do what, and go where, when, and for how much. The companies evaluated include the United States Postal Service Express Mail, Purolator, United Parcel Service, and Federal Express. They are evaluated on their minimum rates, where they deliver, their delivery time, extra charges or discounts, their weekend service, their liability, the fee to obtain proof of delivery, and other comments.
