Bell offers advantages over Boeing in ARH contest, analyst says

Military experts are of the opinion that Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. is in a better position to win the contract for Army's planned Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter (ARH) as compared to the other competitors. To win the $2.4 billion contract Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. is offering its Bell 407 helo whereas the Boeing Co. is providing the MH-6M Little Bird light assault helicopter.

House plans to act on Army UAV funds this month
Article Abstract:
A budget issue that has held up the Army's selection of a contractor to build its planned Extended Range/Multipurpose (ER/MRP) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is raising concerns that Capitol Hill may not give its needed approval before lawmakers adjourn in July 2005. But House defense appropriations intend to act on the matter before they leave for their summer recess.
