Alert in Seattle: a new competition challenges designers to use recycled materials
Article Abstract:
A competition called International Design Resource Awards, established by architects and designers Tom and Barbara Johnson of Seattle invites products from designers that are made out of recycled material. The competition is introduced to encourage the use of recycled materials by designers. A CD player produced from recycled polycarbon, and a chair made out of recycled plastic are some of the winners of this competition.

Juan Gatti

Juan Gatti, an Argentinian-born graphic designer living in Madrid, shows a sensualist bend in his designs. Gatti valued to design's tactile nature, but he is equally proficient in creating work digitally. Gatti can produce high art out of the most low-born pop references. The brilliant grace of Gatti's print and motion picture work has benefitted from intimate coalition with fashion designers, musicians and photographers.
