Blood pressure rising
Article Abstract:
Over-the-counter drugs should be taken cautiously by those with hypertension. A report from Medical Update states that most of these drugs contain ingredients that can raise blood pressure levels. Particular drug components to watch out for are the adrenergic agents found in decongestants, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ethanol and sodium which have been found to raise blood pressure. Sodium-containing drugs should be taken with the advice of a dietician.
