Lockheed Martin proves satellite can take the shake
Article Abstract:
The Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) satellite that Lockheed Martin Corp. is producing for the Pentagon showed that it could withstand the heavy dose of vibrations. This tested spacecraft is assumed to be one of the three AEHF satellites that the company is building for the Department of Defense (DOD) for the purpose of providing global, highly secure, protected, survivable communications for all of the armed services.

Pentagon 'JCIDS' process blesses UAVs

Pentagon's decision to establish a new Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process for unmanned vehicles (UAV) reflects Pentagon's commitment to service interoperability. The Pentagon took a step toward making UAV more interchangeable and interoperable among the armed services by deciding to establish the center of excellence.

Despite rumblings, F/A-22 raptor moves forward

Production plans appear to be on track for the F/A-22 Raptor fighter aircraft program, despite reports that budgetary cuts might derail the program and although some scaling down is on the cards. The U.S. Department of Defense plans on acquiring 277 copies of the Raptor if all goes well.
