Lockheed to gain $60 Million for submarine acoustic systems

Northrop Grumman Corp. offered a $60 million subcontract to Lockheed Martin Corp., to design and manufacture Lightweight Wide Aperture Array (LWWAA) Acoustic sensory systems for the fifth and sixth Virginia class submarines, SSN 778 and 779. The Virginia Class Submarines will also be inserted with new software and faster up gradation.

General dynamics cites strengths of its ACS proposal

Northrop Grumman Corp. has selected General Dynamics Corp. to supply a Gulfstream aircraft for the Aerial Common Sensor (ACS) proposal. The ACS once operational will replace the Navy EP-3 Orion and the Army Guardrail/common sensor and airbone reconnaissance low intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems.
