Margo Chase
Article Abstract:
Margo Chase, a graphic designer of the United States, became renowned for her strong, illustrative letterforms that she introduced in new media areas, such as Web design and motion graphics for the TV channel ESPN.. While studying for a pre-veterinary biology degree at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, Chase studied graphic design to build her career as medical illustrator. She got the training in type specification, layout and pacing when working with a book publisher in Los Angeles. Her mother's hobby of calligraphy motivated her to begin hand-lettering.

The predatory network
Article Abstract:
The Microsoft Network (MSN), Microsoft's online service, is geared to service one million users by August 1996. Microsoft is also producing 'Blackbird' to be used to produce pages for MSN and World Wide Web. 'Blackbird' has cross-platform compatibility which integrates it with the rest of the computer world. Microsoft's policy to limit 'Blackbird' to Windows, MSN and the Web is the only thing that hinders domination of Internet.

The magic button: The simple push button lets us make things happen- but spares us all the messy details
Article Abstract:
People pushed buttons before the 20th century, but the widespread appearance of the magic button that could activate complex chains of electrical and chemical events, has defined the 20th century. Early appearances are linked with the development of electricity and long distance communication. Buttons are symbols of convenience, and the push button age emerged in the 1950s when domestic appliances went automatic.
