Only Moravan has given bail for Let Kunovice
Article Abstract:
Let (Kunovice, Czech Republic), aircraft company, has become bankrupt and is for sale. The sole firm to have given bail for the purchase is Moravan (Otrokovice, Czech Republic), training and sports aircraft manufacturer. Originally, nine investors showed an interest in Let in a tender. Two of them decided not to pay bail and that is why they cannot participate in the tender. Further investors interested in Let are the American Glenn Kirbo, the aircraft manufacturer Evektor Aerotechnik (Kunovice, Czech Republic), the multinational concern EADS and GATX (US), which co-operates with Let in the project of the aircraft Loadmaster, and two other unnamed companies. The second stage of the tender will end in Jun 2001. Then, a contract should be arranged with Let's new owner.
