NatWest tops experts poll
Article Abstract:
NatWest Securities produces the best UK investment research according to a survey by Extel. SBC Warburg previously ranked first in investment analysis for the five years to 1996. The best research team is the petroleum sector group of analysts from NatWest while Fergus Macleod, head of the team, also ranked first among individual analysts. The survey used assessments from 107 fund managers. The market for analysts is seen as overstaffed and this will mean less respected analysts could be ignored.
