Article Abstract:
FAAC Inc., Ann Arbor, Mich., is being awarded a $11,860,533 cost-plus-fixed-fee service contract for technical support for design, development, manufacture and installation of operator training simulators which are used for training Marine Corps personnel how to drive High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs) medium tactical vehicles (humvees). This contract contains options, which, if exercised, will bring the cumulative value of this contract to $26,667,546. Work will be performed in Ann Arbor, Mich., and is expected to be completed by December 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the internet and three offers were received. The Indian Head Division., Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head, Md., is the contracting activity (N00174-99-D-0011).

Hughes Training, Inc., Arlington, Texas, is being awarded a $14,898,504 modification to previously awarded contract N61339-95-C-0045 to exercise an option for the production of the fire support combined arms tactical trainer family of trainers, including 16 Howitzer crew M109A5 trainers, 30 collective training control subsystems, initial spares, and site installation services. Work will be performed in York, Penn. (65%); Hunt Valley, Md. (25%); and Orlando, Fla. (10%), and is expected to be completed by February 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Div., Orlando, Fla., is the contracting activity.
