Article Abstract:
Newport News Shipbuilding, Newport News, Va., is receiving a $59,648,094 cost-plus-award-fee option to provide support for the Navy's insertion technology initiative under the CVN 77 aircraft carrier program. With this option exercise, the total value of the contract is $106,035,149. The contract has two remaining options which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of the entire contract to $190,430,694. Work will be performed in Newport News, Va., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-98-C-2104).

Work will be performed in Arlington, Va., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
