Article Abstract:
Northrop Grumman Corp., Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded a $39,465,044 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-97-C-0069 to provide supplies and services for the design, coding, and testing of tactical software for the cooperative engagement capability/ mission computer upgrade systems of the Hawkeye 2000 aircraft. The cooperative engagement capability modification is a technique by which more than one combatant radar can share radar and targeting systems, thereby expanding the scope of these capabilities. Work will be performed in Bethpage, N.Y. (95%), and a variety of other sites (5%), and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Work will be performed in Manassas, Va., and is expected to be completed by September 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
