Motorola Inc., System Solutions Group of the Information Security Solutions and Products Div., Scottsdale, Ariz., is being awarded a $37,750,000 three-year multi-year contract for the manufacture and delivery of 756 MK45 Mod 9 and Mod 10 target detecting devices and associated material. The MK45 target detecting device is the fuzing component of the STANDARD missile. The three-year fixed-price plus award fee multi-year contract is valued at $79,380,000. Work will be performed in Scottsdale, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by September 2001 (the entire multi-year contract work is expected to be completed by November 2002). Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-99-C-5374).

Undersea Sensor Systems, Inc., Columbia City, Ind., is being awarded a $10,012,455 split award of a firm-fixed-price contract for 10,947 AN/SSQ-62E sonobuoys and associated data. Sonobuoys are dropped from various airborne platforms and utilized for search and detection of submerged submarines. Work will be performed in Columbia, Ind., and is expected to be completed by March 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
