Article Abstract:
Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Information Systems, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded an $8,193,611 cost-plus-award-fee delivery order against an existing indefinite-quantity contract for the development of a next-generation computer generated forces system for the U.S. Army Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Command (STRICOM) in Orlando, Fla. This system will represent a full range of operation systems and control processes from individual combatant and platforms to brigade level operations. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla., and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 125 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, Fla., is the contracting activity (N61339-96-D-0002).
