Article Abstract:
Mission Research Corp., Santa Barbara, Calif., is being awarded a $5,498,428 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for development, test, and fabrication of a ground-based and an airborne laser sound sensor for the micro unattended ground sensor program. This contract contains options which, if exercised, will bring the cumulative value of the contract to $16,011,657. Work will be performed in Torrance, Calif., and is expected to be completed by November 2002. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured through a Broad Area Announcement with 31 proposals solicited and six offers received. Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Federal Systems Owego Co., Owego, N.Y., is being awarded a $5,756,652 cost reimbursement, fixed-fee, delivery order against an existing basic ordering agreement to provide engineering services to perform a requirements study to ensure the SH-60R air weapon system and multi-mission helicopter avionics system specification requirements are complete and testable. Work will be performed in Owego, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by April 1999. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year.
