New lieutenants face afternoon of explosive pressure
Article Abstract:
New Army lieutenants are being given training exercise to learn the craft of war and skills that might be required as their permanent duty unit's transition to Kuwait and then Iraq. The most complex of several training exercises involved a mock improvised explosive device (IED), a makeshift roadside mine that is the weapon of choice for terrorists in Iraq who don't dare confront Army units openly and directly.

Boeing gives stock shares to thousands of workers
Article Abstract:
The Boeing Co. has decided to give stock or cash awards to 200,000 current or former employees, part of a long-term strategy to make employees owners as well. It created the Share Value Trust as a way to funnel the stock and cash to employees as a strong commitment to broad-base employee ownership.
