New product needs new identity: Hammermill emphasizes price, quality in the launch of Regalia line

Hammermill, a copier paper company, from Memphis, Tenn. launched its new Regalia high quality paper range in 1992, following promotions that began in October 1991, with ads in printing and marekting publications. This was followed by printed inserts of the paper and then the launch of 35,000 Regalia sample books, showing the paper in various uses such as menus and stationery. By March 1993 the company had dispensed 40,000 more copies of the sample book, which also won several industry awards.

PC Expo, a microchip exhibition, was held in New York and attracted over 90,000 visitors. Those exhibiting included Egghead Software with its new Windows based electronic ordering system, WordPerfect with its 6. 0 software for DOS and Everex Systems launching its multiprocessor system which is competitively priced. Compaq Computer Corp announced it would be distributing IBM's OS/2/2/1 operating system.
