Overseas contractors gaining more work in JSF program

Smith's Aerospace, a British subcontractor to the Lockheed Martin Corporation has announced its agreement with a Turkish company to build components of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF). Smiths Aerospace has welcomed the Turkish company, Aydin Yazilim Ve Elektronic San A.S. engineering team to its facility in Grand Rapids Michigan where the two companies would produce JSF sub-assemblies for Lockheed Martin.

Army postpones ACS aircraft contract award
Article Abstract:
The Army has put off the announcement of the winner of the Aerial Common Sensor (ACS) program until the early fourth quarter of the fiscal year, ending Sept. 30, 2004, while the government continues to analyze the projected cost of the program. The Army has requested a best and final offer (BAFO) from each contractor before its makes its selection decision.
