Ad answers competition, promotes No. 1 ad status
Article Abstract:
The Idaho State Journal newspaper decided to answer a rival's boast of being the top advertising medium in the state by publishing a list of nearly all of its advertisers. The list, which include several TV and radio stations, appeared in late Dec 1999, and in early Jan 2000. The move, which received the approval of the State Journals' advertisers, effectively thanked the newspaper's clients while promoting its dominance of the Idaho market.
