The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) claims work-related stress has become a big problem in the UK and is planning to crack down on companies that fail to take the issue seriously. Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development's research shows that stress is the biggest cause of absence for non-manual workers, so it is cost effective for even the smallest companies to invest in a stress management policy.
