The U.S., Europe and Australia are increasing their support for translational research, drug design and discovery. The U.S. National Cancer Institute's Rapid Access to Interventional Development (RAID) program, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) the U.K.'s Medical Research Council (MRC) are some of the organizations that are providing funds for the drug discovery, research and development.

A change in the market - investing in diagnostics
Article Abstract:
Investors do not find the diagnostic market attractive due to low margins, tricky reimbursement issues and the difficulty of market penetration. Factors like changes in healthcare economics, regulation and the adoption to companion diagnostic tests, which are predictive for drug response, are expected to change the perceptive.
