Pulling in the business
Article Abstract:
Relocation decisions in England can be examined by looking at three case studies, which illustrate the importance of grants and other factors. Thanet, East Kent, England, offers grants since it is classed as a development area, and has attracted Florada and Forestwood. Dearne Valley, South Yorkshire, England, offers grants from a number of sources such as Cit Challenge, and has attracted a number of investors. The counties of Devon and Cornwall benefit from the work of the West Country Development Corporation in attracting investment.
