Article Abstract:
Serge Tremblay worked under pressure to balance his accounting career while training for the 1996 Olympics weightlifting category. Although Tremblay finished 13th in the Olympics, he took his defeat as a challenge. It also helped him keep his cool when given any task. Being person who wants to try everything at hand, Tremblay tried different fields of study from Math to administration until he finally settled for accounting. Today, he works as an auditor at Price Waterhouse and is still deciding on what branch of accounting to master.

Chartered accountant Frank Baldry, a partner in Pricewaterhouse Coopers in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, possesses a black belt in the Japanese karate, Wado Kai. He became involved in martial arts when he and his 7-year-old son enrolled for the course at the YMCA in 1990. He gained his black belt after five years of 10 to 12-hour weekly training at the institution. He believes that karate not only enables people to defend themselves, it also teaches them to have respect and tolerance for everyone.

Quebecor's new chairman Charles-Albert Poissant is considered by his friends not just an accountant but an entrepreneur as well. Poissant has been named as chairman of Quebecor, Canada's leading printing and publishing firm, after Peirre Peladeau's demise in 1998. Poissant has served the firm as senior accountant aside from being a senior partner in his own accounting firm, Poissant Thibault. Poissant believes in developing strategies on instinct and adjusting them to current trends and situations.
