Regulators weigh risks of consumer genetic tests
Article Abstract:
The rapid increase in the number of companies offering genetic tests has resulted in an U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHSS) investigation by the Secretary's Advisory Committee on Genetics, Health, and Society (SACGHS) to review the tests and quality of the reports presented by the genetic companies and pre-market evaluation of genetic tests.
