Daniel Blais, accountant and international advisor for the United Nations' Department of Economic and Social Development, aids UN member countries in auditing, taxation, budget control, privatization, training and financial reporting procedures. Blais has been with the United Nations since 1991. To best handle his job of evaluating client countries' financial requirements, an open mind, experience and adaptability are needed, according to Blais. The other variables that have helped in the position are being a chartered accountant and being Canadian, which is a nationality respected around the globe for its solid professionalism and high educational standards.

His hobby is 'Free': Victoria CA's folk music CD is a hit

Chartered accountant (CA) and singer Kevin Woodward's folk music CD entitled 'Free' has sold 10,000 copies on its first run. The CD, which was released in October 1998, includes classic songs by the Limeliters, Harry Chapin and others. Woodward revealed that the success of his 'Free' CD, which came 25 years after his first debut record, would not affect his career as a CA. A committed family man, Woodward began playing guitar and writing folk songs at the age of 14.
