Article Abstract:
The 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games' official identity, 'The Look,' is the outcome of a collaboration of five US design firms chosen by the Atlanta Committee for Olympic Games. 'The Look' contains a roster of designed pathways, uniforms, logos and other artifacts to convey the sense of a heroic event. NBC's sports graphics involving technical animations, title cards, and special segments will set new standards. The Internet Web site for the event will provide historical information, sports data and profile of the contenders. NBC's pictograms and 3-D technical animations are also discussed.
