Article Abstract:
Employee recruitment has become more complex over the years as companies try to find people with the skills and experience that could help enhance their competitiveness. Hiring the wrong people not only is a waste of time and money, but it can also undermine a company's reputation. Firms that, in the past, used to rely on a single advertisement to draw in job applicants are now prepared to pay for the services of employment agencies to find candidates with the precise characteristics that they are looking for. Additionally, companies are no longer relying on unstructured interviews, but are using more sophisticated selection methods such as psychometric tests, graphology and assessment centers.
