Seeking 'options,' Army plans Stryker Gun airdrop
Article Abstract:
General Dynamics Land Systems has been awarded a contract by the US Army to experiment with the parachute airdrop of the Stryker Mobile Gun System (MGS) with a view to meeting the requirement of the 82nd Airborne Division for a lightweight armored 105mm gun that will provide fire support in airfield seizure and other operations. The currently available air-droppable vehicle, the M8 Armored Gun System (AGS), could well be used, but the Army appears to be holding back on the M8 and the likely reasons for this are discussed.

Rand: Asian States offer U.S. army urban warfare lessons
Article Abstract:
