Shaftsbury
Article Abstract:
Shaftsbury is a UK real estate investor which is acquiring the Carnaby Estate in London, England from Wereldhave. Shaftsbury plans to extend trading hours in restaurants and shops and the estate could benefit from increased pedestrian flow resulting from a local government plan to develop nearby sites. A rights issue will help fund the acquisition and the Levy family and the company's directors do not plan to increase their stakes. The company's prime properties could have a higher worth than their book value.
