Sikorsky soon may grasp $3 Billion CH-53K contract

Sikorsky Aircraft, a unit of United Technologies Corp., is likely to take over a $3 billion sole-source contract for about 160 CH-53K (Kilo) helicopters. It is reported that the program involves a total 161 helicopters, with 156 operational aircraft among them, and a ground-test version and four engineering development models, and after the prime contract award to Sikorsky, contracts would be awarded to major systems suppliers and sub-suppliers.
