Some Locally Optimal Subset Selection Rules for Comparison with a Control
Article Abstract:
Optimal subset selection rules are investigated for population selection. A locally optimal subset selection rule based on parametric inference type statistics is developed. The results are applied to normal means comparison with common known and unknown variance, regression slopes, and gamma scale parameters.

Non-Parametric Recursive Estimates of a Probability Density Function and its Derivatives
Article Abstract:
Formulation is provided for recursive estimates of a derivative of any desired order of a probability density function. Computation can be achieved recursively as the sample size increases. The estimators are asymptotically unbiased, mean square consistent, and strongly consistent.
