Article Abstract:
The British franchising industry is growing at a rate of more the 20 percent per year. Potential franchisors should be aware of the risks involved in franchising. Apart from the obvious problems of finding suitable franchisees and qualified financial advisers who understand the franchising industry, the franchisor will have to be involved in two different, but related marketing activities. Franchise operations require substantial capitalization, and close accounting controls.
